Learn the art of figure drawing using our step-by-step method. Students will work from professionally-shot contemporary photographs of real models from multiple sightlines to mimic the experience of a live life drawing class. Instructor Suwhan Lim will teach the basics of blocking in, gestural and completed constructs, comparative measurement, proportion, division of light and dark, and articulation.

Students will also be introduced to the fundamentals of finishing their drawings in carbon or charcoal through big form and small form modeling. The end effect is a dramatic three-dimensional figure.

This 10-week virtual workshop will meet for instruction and critiques through Zoom video conferencing on Thursdays, 6:30-9 pm ET.

Full workshop price is $500, payable up front to save your spot.
