We are thrilled to announce that we are reopening our physical location Saturday, June 27 for Open Studio under a modified schedule. We will be open Saturday 11-5 and Monday-Thursday 10-6.
Contact Colleen at email@example.com or 416-766-1280 to schedule an appointment so we can ensure enough physical distance between you and your neighbours. We will not accept drop-ins at this time, and we ask anyone experiencing symptoms to stay home and self-isolate.
We are looking forward to welcoming you back to ARA.
Date: Oct 11, 2019 - Oct 13, 2019
Duration: 3 Days
Location: ARA Toronto
Instructor: Fernando Freitas

Learn the art of figure drawing using our step-by-step method. Beginner and advanced students will benefit from this drawing workshop. Students will be working directly from the nude using charcoal or carbon pencil. Principal instructor Fernando Freitas will teach the basics of gesture, proportion, and morphology. Students will then finish their drawings with big form and small form modeling. The end effect is a dramatic three-dimensional figure.
Each participant gets lots of one-on-one attention from our superb instructors. ARA instructors teach year round so, unlike many artists who offer summer/holiday workshops our instructors are professional teachers as well as successful award-winning artists. Whether you are an award-winning experienced artist or have never painted before, our instructors will tailor to your skill level.
